After completing the Commercial Art Foundation Program at Capilano College, John began his designing career with a start-up gaming company called Distinctive Software. Working as the lead artist and animator on the video game Test Drive he had his first taste of success when the game sold over 5 million units. John continued gaining design expertise working for MindSpan Technologies on Sports title video games which included Winter Challenge and the HardBall Baseball Series. After seven iterations of the Baseball series the MindSpan team needed a break so John went on to design company branding for web and print as a freelance graphic designer. His webdesign work turned into full time employment for SilverLake Contractors, where he also became proficient at Oracle database programming. Returning to MindSpan he continued to work with a talented team on a Massive Multiplayer Online Game that was ranked #1 in the world for its catagory for three years running. Now he has ventured out and started his own studio and has continued happily designing ever since.
